Erratum

In "Cell cycle execution point analysis of ORC function and characterization of the checkpoint response to ORC inactivation in Saccharomyces cerevisiae" by Daniel G. Gibson, Stephen P. Bell, and Oscar M. Aparicio, published in Genes to Cells 11: 557–573, a citation was omitted. During the course of the authors’ work, Weinberger et al. (2005, J. Cell Sci., 118: 3543–3553) published analysis of orc2-1 cells showing that loss of ORC2 function in G1 cells results in defective DNA replication, activation of Rad53 checkpoint kinase, and lethality. These results are consistent with the authors’ findings. The authors regret the omission of this citation:
Weinberger, M., Ramachandran, L., Feng, L., Sharma, K., Sun, X., Marchetti, M., Huberman, J.A. & Burhans, W.C. (2005) Apoptosis in budding yeast caused by defects in initiation of DNA replication. J. Cell Sci. 118(Pt 15), 3543–3553.
